Must Watch: Awesome Tron Trailer in HD
Jeff Bridges just won a best actor Oscar for Crazy Heart, but he's now in something way cooler: The newly released trailer for Tron: Legacy (which is 3D and comes out December 17). (Here it is, at Trailer Addict.) "Jeff Bridges is still being held against his will by an evil, blacklight-abusing microprocessing regime, and only his son can get save him, after 93 minutes of Light Cycle races, Ultimate Identity Disk tournaments, and Michael Sheen showing off his wicked Air Guitar Hero moves in an outfit even gayer than the one he wore in New Moon!" says Movieline. "if this trailer tells us anything, it's that this damn movie is going to be very cool," says Film School Rejects.
Coming Soon to Your TV: Google?
"Let's start the take-over conspiracy theories once again, everyone," says Erictric: Google may be coming to your TV. The company is testing a new TV search service that "runs on TV set-top boxes containing Google software, allows users to find shows on the satellite-TV service as well as video from Web sites like Google's YouTube," the WSJ reports today. Silicon Alley Insider notes that potential hurdles "the necessity of new set-top boxes--something households and service providers rarely upgrade--and service providers' reluctance to share any more information with Google than they already do," though "if they can increase their ad revenues through a partnership with Google I guess anything is possible," says Android and Me. "I want an 'I'm feeling lucky' button for TV programming," says Gizmodo. "Between this, TiVo, Netflix and Playstation, is there any reason anyone should ever have to leave the comfort of their couch?" wonders TV Squad. "Not until Google develops a service with AdultFriendFinder, and trust me, they are working on it."
