Top 10 Environmental Blogs

Air Now

AirNow is not exactly a blog, in that nobody is running off at the mouth. But it provides air-quality information every day for any place in the entire USA.

Ask Pablo

"Ask Pablo," Pablo Paster at Treehugger.

Ask Umbra

"Ask Umbra," Umbra Fisk , a fellow advice columnist at Grist is of my favorites, as are two other reliable online advice folks: Pablo Paster of "Ask Pablo" and Nina Shen of the "Green Lantern."

B'More Green

I like B'More Green at the Baltimore Sun because it talks about environmental BOOKS. In this age when the Twitterati is displacing what was left of the Litterati, it's good to see somebody promoting actual complicated discussion and analysis.

Carl Pope

My favorite enviro blogger is a guy I regard as the smartest person in the environmental movement, Carl Pope, executive director of the Sierra Club since 1992. Don't just read his new blogs, read all of the past ones if you want to be well informed. It's a good cure for Internet-induced amnesia.

Environmental History News

Constantly posts info on environmental history. Without history there is no present.

Science Blogs

ScienceBlogs has a lot of environmental science material, often very cutting-edge.

The Green Lantern

"The Green Lantern," Nina Shen Rastogi at Slate.

The Green Life

The Green Life at Sierra Magazine has lots of good tips for green living.

Waste Recycling News

A fabulous resource for keeping up with the recycling and waste management business.
